1. LED display and LCD display backlight source is different.
Ordinary LCD display uses CCFL light source, each side of the screen has a root, LCD display has a backlight plate on the back, the light source on both sides can be evenly distributed on the back of the entire screen, so that the entire screen is evenly lit. However, due to technical limitations, the brightness of such displays is not completely uniform, although it is difficult to find, and the lamp has a certain life, and it will yellow for a long time. LED displays use LED light sources, which are light-emitting diodes. Such a light-emitting diode is very power-saving, and because it is not a lamp, it can be composed of an array evenly distributed behind the LCD screen. The brightness is good, so that the backlight is more uniform, so the display can be thinner and more power-saving, and the life is longer than that of CCFL, and the color is stable and not easy to yellow.
2. The environmental adaptability of LED display and LCD display is different.
LED display is brighter than LCD display. The brightness of the LED display is 3500-5500 cd/m2, and the brightness of the LCD is 250-1500 cd/m2. The brightness of the LCD screen is low, which is not suitable for outdoor and indoor use with strong light, and the LED display is not limited by the strength of the optical fiber. So the LED display can be used both indoors and outdoors, while the LCD display is mainly used indoors.
At the same time, the LED display has the ability to waterproof, sunscreen and prevent outdoor bad weather, while the LCD display can generally only be used indoors.
3. LED display and LCD display have different power consumption.
The power per square meter of the conventional LED display is about 450W, the power per square meter of the conventional LCD LCD screen is about 350W, and the power consumption per square meter of the normal use of the LED display is greater than the LCD display. In specific places, the brightness of the LED display can also be reduced to reduce power consumption.
4. The color reproduction degree of LED display and LCD display is different.
LED screen through the chip positive light, high color saturation reduction; LCD display through the liquid crystal back light, compared with the color reduction is general, and each liquid crystal unit will have a certain color difference, resulting in the overall color is general.
5. The display quality of LED display and LCD display is different.
The resolution of the LCD screen is as high as 2K, and the resolution display can reach 4K or even above after splicing, so it is suitable for close viewing, such as watching the screen within 1 meter, the picture quality of the LCD display is exquisite and the clarity is high. LED display light bead particle sense is obvious, clarity is general. However, standing at a normal visual distance of 2 meters away, there is little difference in the quality of the two. Therefore, LCD display is more suitable for indoor viewing, computer monitors, mobile phone screens, televisions and other display fields, while LED display is mainly suitable for shopping malls, performance sites, large conferences and other distant viewing fields.
6. The stitching size of LED display and LCD display is different, and the display effect is different.
After the LCD display is spliced, there will be a few millimeters of the border, which is called the joint in the industry. Therefore, when the screen is displayed in full screen, there will be a lot of black lines on the screen, which affects the visual effect. The LED display, no matter how it is spliced, will not have a gap effect, and the experience is better when playing in full screen. Therefore, under normal circumstances, if you have the need for indoor close-up viewing, then the LCD display will be more appropriate. And if you have outdoor or indoor large-scale viewing needs, then choose LED display is more appropriate.
7.LED display is more flexible and convenient than LCD display maintenance.
From the installation point of view, the LED display itself is composed of a small piece of LED module splicing, and each different module is controlled by a different power line, if there is a problem with the local module, only need to replace a separate module. The splicing unit of the LCD splicing screen is large, and once the problem is found, the splicing screen can only be removed for maintenance.
